Adam Stott has been selected as a judge for The Business Champion Awards!
Big Business Events founder, Adam Stott is one of a select few to be asked to be on the judging panel for The Business Champion Awards 2022!
Adam was selected to be part of the committee based on his experience as a successful entrepreneur, and his work in training and guiding the next generation of business owners to their full potential.
He recognises talent and dedication, so we know he is a fantastic choice to help select the first lot of recipients for the Business Champion Awards.
What are The Business Champion Awards?
“The Business Champion Awards are designed to herald and celebrate the best of British business across the expanse of the country.” They are a beacon of positivity for entrepreneurs and business owners, in what can be a difficult and trying sector.
They want to celebrate the leaders who have gone above and beyond to assure the survival of their businesses and the security they provide to all of those in their employment. They will honour the perseverance and devotion of Britain’s best and trail-blazing entrepreneurs, and reward them for their challenging work.
There are 12 categories, with each hosting their own gold, silver, and bronze awards. The most notable categories to receive an award for are Entrepreneur of the Year which is given to individuals with exceptional leadership qualities and tenacity in the face of aversity. New Business of the Year which is given to the business which has jumped into the scene within the last few years and made a massive impact. Also, there is The Business Transformation Award which looks at a business’ journey from loss to profit, and their strategy to thrive in trying times.
Part of the reason that The Business Champion Awards were created was to disrupt the current awards industry. The CEO, Richard Alvin, believes that system currently in place that rewards business’ for their modernisation and innovation of the industry, is massively outdated and therefore is entirely hypocritical. Alvin and his team are working to adapt to an ever-increasing digital world, making it accessible to apply, post evidence, and receive tips all online in preparation for the ceremony.
The Judging Panel
The judges presiding over the awards have been carefully selected based off of their merits as entrepreneurs and innovators, which is why we are very proud that Adam was among the chosen group.
The current judging panel is comprised of business owners who are in the top of their field. Along with Adam Stott, on the board are Simon Devonshire OBE who is an expert in digital innovation, and he has been appointed as the Government’s Entrepreneur in Residence. Dean Forbes who has been named one of Britain’s top 50 business owners by Lloyds Bank and The Daily Telegraph. Also joining them is Charlie Mullins OBE, founder of Pimlico Plumbers, and CEO of the awards, Richard Alvin.
Goals for the BCA
Adam and The Business Champion Awards share a common belief, that surrounding yourself with the right environment and having those all-important conversation will help your business grow and thrive. So, another focus for the ceremony is to bring business owners and entrepreneurs from all ends of the nation and put them together to discuss and seek out new opportunities. It gives everyone a chance to create new partnerships and collaborate with people they would never have gotten to meet if it was not for these awards.
The awards ceremony will be taking place on the 23rd March 2022 in Canary Wharf, with applications for entries closing on the 15th December.
We wish every entry to The Business Champion Awards the very best of luck with their entry!
