Finance Options

Finance is available for our products, this gives customers the option of spreading the cost of their purchase with our provider, etika, for example.

Basic Criteria

  • Be 18 years old or over
  • Be employed for at least 16 hours a week or retired and in receipt of a private or company pension. Certain state benefit schemes may also be considered.
  • Be a permanent UK resident with a 3-year address history.
  • Have a good credit history with no late payments, debt relief orders, or bankruptcy
  • Have a valid email address and can access it
  • Please note that meeting the above criteria does not guarantee finance acceptance

Application Process

Select the items you wish to purchase and put them in your basket.

Reach the checkout page and select etika Finance as the payment option. At this point you will be directed to complete etika’s application process

Pay the agreed deposit and submit the application.

A credit check will be completed against customer’s credit report as a part of the application process. 

etika will provide an instant decision in the majority of applications, but if the application does refer then follow this process:

If you are declined you can contact etika for more information and an email confirming details of the credit reference agency used will also be sent to you.

You will need to complete your finance application online as you will be asked for some sensitive information. Our finance partner will require personal details like your name, address, phone numbers and income. Plus, your bank account and credit or debit card details. They need this information to be sure who’s applying in order for the finance company to perform a credit check. To give yourself the best chance of approval, you should always ensure the information you give us is accurate and honest.

The online application form typically takes less than 3 minutes to complete. Your application is then instantly sent to the finance company and they will typically respond with their decision in around 10 seconds. Some applications may take longer to process. If for any reason they can’t give you an instant decision we’ll send you an email the moment the finance company makes a decision.

Please note that for security measures proof of ID may be required after your application has been approved and your deposit has been paid. This step is to verify your transaction and a check will be done on any ID provided. If your ID fails the check or you are unable to provide a valid proof of ID, we will be in contact with you. Should you need to provide ID you will be notified via email from the finance provider.

A credit check forms part of the automated decision making process and is part of a responsible lending policy.

When your credit application is accepted you will be required to pay a deposit online, using a credit or debit card. The amount of the deposit is shown in the credit summary (displayed on the top left hand side of the screen throughout the credit application) and on the credit agreement itself. Your monthly repayments are collected by Direct Debit.

You have the right to repay all or part of the credit early, at any time.

Finance Examples

For example: Finance is available on orders from £500 to £15,000, a deposit is required between 10-50% of the order amount and is paid directly to etika as part of the application process. Finance options are available representative 0% 

A £1000 sale at representative 0% APR over 12 months:

Sale amount: £1000
Deposit amount (10%): £100
Credit amount: £900

Interest Rate: 0%
Number of repayments: 12
Monthly repayment: £75

Cancellations

The client understands that once the program has begun it will not be refunded partially or in totality.

A payment plan does not affect our standard refund and returns policy. Just contact us and we’ll cancel your application and etika will refund your deposit and let you know of any outstanding balance if applicable.

Please note: You may cancel your credit agreement, but you will still be liable to pay for the training by another method.

What are the requirements for credit?

  • Be aged between 18 and 75
  • Be a permanent UK resident and have lived at your address for longer than one year
  • Have a debit or credit card
  • Have a valid UK telephone number

Will a credit check be performed?
Yes. DivideBuy uses a third-party credit reference agency to perform a credit check. This is used in combination with your entered details and our own unique algorithm to assess affordability.

Will I have to pay a deposit?
Your first instalment is payable on completion of your order. In some instances, you may be required to pay a deposit based on a combination of your credit score, size of order and number of instalments selected.

How many instalments can I Spread the Cost over?
Depending on the total value of your order and the Retail Partner, you may be able to Spread the Cost up to 12 monthly instalments.

What happens if I want to end my agreement early?
DivideBuy offers the option to repay the remaining balance on your account at any point with no additional charges or fees to pay. You can do this by logging into your DivideBuy account on our website or by calling the Customer Service Team on 0800 085 0885.

Are there any other charges or fees?
There is 0% APR interest and no setup charges, cancellation or hidden fees. DivideBuy reserve the right to add late payment fees to your account in the event of you missing payments. This is all explained in your credit agreement before you complete the checkout process.
